Adicción a redes sociales y ciberbullying en estudiantes de la IES comercial 45 Puno, Perú 2026

Background: Social media addiction and cyberbullying among high school students represent an urgent educational challenge with significant emotional, social, psychological, academic, and familial implications for their holistic development. Objective: To determine the relationship between social media addiction and cyberbullying among high school students at the IES Comercial 45 Emilio Romero Padilla in Puno, Peru, in 2026. Methodology: The research was conducted using a quantitative, basic-theoretical approach with a correlational scope and a cross-sectional, non-experimental design. The sample included 280 students selected through stratified probability sampling. Results: The study found that the majority of students exhibited medium (47.9%) and high (48.6%) levels of social media addiction, primarily linked to medium (27.1%) and high (32.1%) cybervictimization. The dimensions of obsession, lack of personal control, and excessive use showed very high positive correlations (Rho = 0.84-0.86; p < 0.001), confirming significant, consistent, and statistically robust associations in adolescents. Conclusion: This study confirms that social media addiction is significantly associated with cyberbullying in secondary school students. The relationship between these two variables is validated by very high positive correlations, which lends statistical strength to the model. These findings highlight a relevant educational risk and underscore the need to implement socio-emotional interventions and digital self-regulation strategies to reduce adolescent vulnerability to cybervictimization.

Contexto: La adicción a redes sociales y el ciberbullying en estudiantes de secundaria representan un desafío educativo urgente, con implicaciones emocionales, sociales, psicológicas, académicas y familiares de gran trascendencia para la formación integral. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre la adicción a redes sociales y el ciberbullying en estudiantes de secundaria de la la IES Comercial 45 Emilio Romero Padilla Puno, Perú, 2026. Metodología: La investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básico-teórico, con alcance correlacional y diseño no experimental transversal; la muestra incluyó a 280 estudiantes seleccionados mediante muestreo probabilístico estratificado. Resultados: Se evidencia que la mayoría de los alumnos presentan niveles medios (47.9%) y altos (48.6%) de adicción a redes sociales, vinculados principalmente con cibervictimización media (27.1%) y alta (32.1%). Las dimensiones obsesión, falta de control personal y uso excesivo mostraron correlaciones positivas muy altas (Rho = 0.84-0.86; p < 0.001), lo que confirma asociaciones significativas, consistentes y estadísticamente robustas en adolescentes. Conclusión: El estudio confirma que la adicción a redes sociales se asocia significativamente con el ciberbullying en estudiantes de secundaria. La relación entre ambas variables se valida mediante correlaciones positivas muy altas, lo que aporta solidez estadística al modelo. Estos hallazgos evidencian un riesgo educativo relevante y subrayan la necesidad de implementar intervenciones socioemocionales y estrategias de autorregulación digital para reducir la vulnerabilidad adolescente frente a la cibervictimización.
