As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The manuscript is original, and the authors commit to not submitting it to other journals simultaneously.
  • The letter includes the name and surname of each author, identifying the roles they played in the development of the research, according to the Contributor Roles Taxonomy ((CRediT).
  • The manuscript is written in one of the publication languages: Spanish or English.
  • The manuscript is submitted in the most recent Word version.
  • The manuscript complies with the publication requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The manuscript complies with the journal’s ethical policies.
  • Authors have ensured that their manuscripts adhere to the research integrity principles outlined in the Singapore Declaration on Research Integrity.
  • The article includes a title, abstract, and keywords in both English and Spanish.
  • If the article is derived from a research project, the title, project identifier, funding source, and year are indicated.
  • The DOI (Digital Object Identifier) should be included in each reference whenever possible. If the DOI is not provided, the respective URLs of the references must be included.
  • Whenever possible, the article should be linked to the DMP, protocols, software, or dataset, with full citation and DOI.
