In the current educational context, understanding the relationship between happiness at work and organizational commitment is crucial to improve performance and well-being in institutions. The aim of this study was to determine this relationship in teachers of a private university under a descriptive-correlational approach, using a sample of 174 randomly selected teachers. The Meyer and Allen (1991) instrument, adapted by Mariluz and Mendez (2022), was used to measure organizational commitment, and the Del Junco (2013) instrument was used to measure happiness at work. The results showed a significant relationship (p<0.05) between both variables in all the models evaluated. In conclusion, the importance of fostering happiness at work to strengthen organizational commitment is highlighted, which can improve the educational environment and the well-being of teachers
