El liderazgo docente es clave para promover un ambiente motivador, innovador y centrado en el desarrollo educativo. El objetivo de la presente investigación fue determinar la relación entre el liderazgo transformacional y la planeación estratégica en una institución educativa pública del Callao, Lima, Perú en 2022. Se adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo y correlacional. Para la recolección de datos se aplicaron dos cuestionarios a una muestra censal de 69 docentes del nivel secundario. Los hallazgos revelan una correlación positiva (0.568, p<0.01) entre liderazgo transformacional y la planeación estratégica. La estimulación intelectual mostró la mayor relación (r=0.573), seguida por la inspiración motivacional (0.531), la influencia idealizada y la consideración individual (ambas 0.462). Se concluye que fomentar el pensamiento crítico, el ejemplo ético, la empatía y la motivación mejora los procesos estratégicos, alineando al equipo con los objetivos institucionales. Se recomienda fomentar el liderazgo transformacional como proceso colectivo para fortalecer la visión compartida, la innovación y la mejora continua.
Teacher leadership is key to promoting a motivating, innovative, and development-focused environment. The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between transformational leadership and strategic planning at a public educational institution in Callao, Lima, Peru, in 2022. A quantitative and correlational approach was adopted. Two questionnaires were administered to a census sample of 69 secondary school teachers to collect data. The findings reveal a positive correlation (0.568, p<0.01) between transformational leadership and strategic planning. Intellectual stimulation showed the strongest relationship (r=0.573), followed by motivational inspiration (0.531), idealized influence, and individual consideration (both 0.462). It is concluded that fostering critical thinking, ethical example, empathy, and motivation improves strategic processes, aligning the team with institutional objectives. It is recommended to foster transformational leadership as a collective process to strengthen shared vision, innovation, and continuous improvement.
