Psychometric properties of the academic engagement scale in Bolivian university studentsContenido principal del artículo
The aim of this study was to analyze the psychometric properties of the academic engagement scale in Bolivian university students. This research follows the guidelines of an instrumental design in which 572 university students of both sexes whose ages ranged from 17 to 47 years old participated. The analysis of the internal structure of the academic engagement scale through a confirmatory factorial analysis revealed that the structure is satisfactory (?2 = 28.147, p = 0.01; CFI = 0.988; TLI = 0.970 and RMSEA = 0.080), and evidence of convergent and discriminant validity was also reported. Reliability is adequate (? > 0.70). It is concluded that the academic engagement scale in university students is a valid and reliable brief instrument.
